When I worked for the alarm company, I looked for this location and it looks nothing like this today. I know the tunnel is sealed closed, and supposedly the one streetlight and the island still survive, but it was over 30 years ago for me and my memory is just not that good any more.
We had a guy, Tai, who was pulling out with 351 and he wasn’t paying attention and ran head on into the only light pole on our tarmac. He suffered just a few scrapes and a bloody nose as Rudy and I got the load transferred and another driver took the truck. Tai never lived it down as the pole was forever known as “Tai’s Pole.”
OK, you’re driving for Family Dollar, which means you’re going to their stores only. They’re always in civilization, and on a paved street. So, what makes you think that turning up a cow trail is going to be the correct choice in routes to take to get to your next Family Dollar? What am I missing?
