Here’s our night camp in Goodland KS. It is a truck stop, and even though the RV park was right next door, I chose to save the $25-40 a campsite would cost and instead we burned about $8 of gas running the generator.
Here’s my first view of a legal cannabis shop in Colorado Springs. Sadly, the ordinance here is that you need a medical card to purchase cannabis. I don’t qualify, but my ohana came through with some shatter, which is the bomb. The second part of the clip is the scenic 5 minute drive from CO-115 to camp.
Here’s a few clips of our drive to Colorado Springs from Goodland KS.
I don’t know a lot about this area. After 1926, the road through the Newhall Pass was numbered US-6 and US-99. At one time, US-6 was the longest numbered highway in the U.S. After California’s 1964 renumbering took effect, US-6 was shortened and began in Bishop CA, where it begins today. Currently, US-20 is the longest numbered highway.
Notice the car in the background is pink as well. Way cool!
