Love the gold over black. A beast to keep clean. My step brother Charlie had an 84 or so Mustang that was black. He’s had a hundred cars and his first black one cured him of that.
I didn’t take this.
By the end of the game both Marie and I were uncomfortable sitting in our seats. I don’t recall these seats being that cramped from our visit on NYE.
On the way home, which is 45 minutes each way, we discussed the pros and cons of Austin. So far, the cons are heavily weighing against Texas’ Capitol City. The park is $620 a month, plus power. This is pretty high for Texas. It is 45 minutes to the arena each way. The arena doesn’t refill their sodas. The seats are narrow. The rows are too close together so there isn’t enough leg room. The pros are we like the park, the arena has excellent sight lines, the arena is new and clean, the newspaper is readable. That’s not enough to balance the scales of decision.
Texas scored 4 in the second period to take a 5-2 lead over the Wild. I snuck into the restroom with about 2 minutes left in the period and the Stars scored their 5th goal with 1.4 seconds left. Another case of Joe’s Luck.
It is a bit of a hike from camp to the arena, but we arrived in time for the first puck drop. Iowa scored within 90 seconds in the first period and held the lead until late in the period. That’s when the Stars evened the score on a 5 on 3 power play with under a minute left. 1-1 at the first intermission.
Before my latest weight gain, I had a bunch of Tommy Bahama island inspired clothing. I really like the casual but dressy style. This dress is just an outstanding example. And the model is almost as pretty as Marie.
